Visual Arts Group

Final Update:

Since the last update, the visual art group has finished their winter drawings and made a display board for the Bethel Senior Citizens Group. Fran Head brought newspaper articles and pictures for the display board. We laminated the newspaper articles and the pictures and made captions from the ideas that she gave us. We used a wide selection of the pictures we had been given and chose them carefully.

We finished our ‘Half Way Done’ drawings on time and they were well-crafted.

Next time we would try to get more people to help or join the visual art group instead of just a few people. We would also like to have another option instead of doing the “Half Way Done” drawing. When we’re trading artwork with the seniors we get to see the different styles of artwork they use. This helps us and the seniors because we get new ideas for our own artworks.

Previous Updates:

We've been working on another halfway-done drawing, and we are almost done.  We'll be meeting soon with the WMSC Drawing and Painting group to title artworks and prepare them for display.

For the rest of the winter, the visual art group will be working on our "winter" drawings. We traded art work that was half way done with the Western Mountain Senior College Drawing and Painting class, and now we have to finish the other half. By the May 2nd event, we are also going to help build the display to show the work of the Bethel seniors group. We will take their pictures and information and display it in a creative way.
