Dog Park

Final Update:

We completed our dog park poster designs with all our ideas on how a dog park can be good for our community. Dog parks provide a safe and fun environment for both humans and canines,  they’re a good tourist attraction, and promote social behavior for people and dogs alike. These were some of the reasons why a dog park would be good for our community.

The way our group participated in the “Bridging the Generations” event was when our posters were shown there. They even received prizes! The person awarded with the “Best Message” was Luke Mason.  Alex Duclos won the “Best Use of Media” award. But the “Best Overall” award went to Austin Corriveau’s with his handmade dog poster.                         .
The posters came out creative and well-crafted and it made a good impression. A lot of people agree with the dog park idea. Maybe a plaque or some signs with some sponsors’ names would have made the project a little better.  We’re hoping that the dog park with eventually get built after all the hard work everyone put in to get it there. Thank you everybody for your support!

We met with Mr. Wight, a representative from the WMSC and the dog park supporters group.  He told us about a location approved by the town. It is town owned property next to Dunkin Donuts/Shell gas station. We learned that there are going to be two dog parks in one acre. They will be split in two by a fence - one for smaller dogs and one for bigger dogs. He told us the rules of the new dog park, which we found reasonable.  We also learned how we can help them.  We will be helping with ideas for making/designing something like a plaque that is dog related to display the names of the sponsors.  We will also be designing posters to promote the dog park in our community.

The dog park group choose to make a dog park posters to promote the park. Most of us are done with our inspirational and informative dog posters. Those who are not are working on it.
